My cummunity 60L aquarium with about 20 red cherry shrimps, 9 Takashi amano shrimps, 1 Atyopsis moluccensis shrimp, 6 cardinals, 4 chinese neons, 2 glass catfish and recently equipped with the magnific EHEIM PROFFESSIONEL II 2026. All plants are real, a midget anubia, a narrow anubia, and a few Limnophila sessiliflora. NOW EQUIPPED WITH A CO2 INJECTION SYSTEM THAT I MADE MYSELF. AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY!

10 gallon Freshwater Aquarium

CO2 is pumped in every now and then via a DIY CO2 generator (water, yeast, sugar combo in a 2.5L soda bottle.) Diffuser in the end of the air line is a plain, round, bamboo chopstick. To keep crab zealots happy one bogwood reaches out of water surface, and a table spoon of evaporated sea salt is added in every few water changes. Infamously, red clawed crabs are escape artists. My crab, Houdini, as his name suggests, now live in a hot glued, old vertical blind cutout reinforced full hooded tank. The light in the hood is a 18W, 8000K fluorescent light strip.

Wanting to keep a shrimp only aquarium…advice please!!!?

I want to keep a freshwater shrimp only aquarium with live plants. I want to keep either red cherry shrimp or ghost shrimp…or both possibly. How many shrimp would you suggest to keep (It’s a 10 tank)? Does the same rule for fish apply here (1 inch per gallon)? What temperature should I keep the tank at (in ferinhiet pls). How much waste to they produce? Thanks, your advice will be greatly appreciated!
