T5 Aquarium Lighting?
I’m wondering whether I have to have special aquarum T5 lamps or whether ordinary domestic T5 lamps will be OK in my fish tank?

The answer to that would depend on what sort of aquarium you set up. A fish only fresh or saltwater tank would do just fine with any sort of lighting. In this case the light is more for you than the fish. Many fish do not do well in bright lighting, research before you buy.
If you are running a planted tank or a reef tank, the proper lighting is critical. I can’t give specifics on the saltwater issue, as there are many different corals and inverts requiring different color temps and intensities. As for freshwater, a full spectrum ( 5000-6500 Kelvin ), bulb and at least 2 watts/ gallon ( more if smaller than a 55 gallon tank ). You should be able to use just about any lamp for your tank, so long as it fits your plans.
