Glofish in their 6-gallon home

Edward, Alphonse and Pride in their aquatic abode. These are Glofish – NOT goldfish! They are the same as zebrafish (zebra danios) except more colorful. They have an added gene from a sea anemone that turns them colors and makes them glow under blacklight. They are NOT painted fish. They are born this color. Painting fish is cruel, but these are not painted fish.

    Cool. I have 7 neon tetras named after the homunculi. Can’t tell them apart but since there are 7 of them I know they’re all there.

    i believe glo fish have an added gene from a flourescent jellyfish that makes them glow not a sea anemone

    No it dosent, im an artist i know, paint is just the surface, dye is all the way through dyeing the tissue and eveyrthing else
